According to msnbc.com unemployment insurance claims in Texas are up over 60% from last year.
Some people have had to call 20 - 40 times in order to get through to a live person and their website has also sometimes had problems actually loading web pages.
So what are they doing? Well they've already hired 110 more people to work the phones and are hiring another 70 people, and they won't bust anybody's chops for filing late if it's because of problems with getting through the system.
