Be Sure to Pay Your Income Taxes on Unemployment Income

With just a little more than 48 hours until the April 15th, 2009 deadline for filing your income tax returns (both Federal and State returns), be sure to remember that if you received unemployment insurance benefits in 2008, that income is fully taxable as KHSL TV reminds us.

For most people, they have the option to not have any income tax withheld from their unemployment checks---however, there's a chance that the unemployment income will cause them to have to write a check for back taxes at a time in which they're very stretched to make any extra payments.
