The unemployment rate in the
the Lone Star State has reached 6% in December 2008 according to
the AP.
While Texas' unemployment rate is still below the national average of 7.2% (for December 2008), they have now hit the 6% mark which makes Tier 2 unemployment insurance benefits a possibility for future months.
The Maximum weekly unemployed insurance benefit in Texas is ~$378/week.

Insurance is changing as we know it due to obama and the unemployment. Since then the rates have drastically changed. All leading companies have changed lots of policies. When was the last time you researched insurance rates? You'd be surprised what recently changed!!!
